Biological order of my musical history....

Still livin it...  but here's the short version...

"I was born in a small town....."

I grew up in Rumford, Maine, a surprisingly very musical town. I played drums in the school band from 5th grade on up.. plus my own bands playing drums and singing thru the same time period. Blind Drive was the highlight of those days and thru college. We played every party and function that we could... all this time I was noodling around on the acoustic at home.

I eventually had to move to Portland for the day job. I soon found a bunch of new musicians and friends. There was Ulterior Motives.. heavier stuff, Inflatable Friends.. acoustic band... and MODUS.. I was still playing drums, but doing a ton of singing also.. I finally started singing lead in MODUS and doing a few tunes on acoustic.. After a few years, MODUS started feeling like a job to all members, so we had great fun ending... but all this time I was still noodling around on the acoustic at home.

Playing with ole friends from Rumford was always fun, so I joined the Hooligans with my bro and some friends. Then got offered a chance to play with We Are I as they were headed to the big time.. seriously.. interest from the man who signed Nickelback is pretty fricken huge!!! But THAT guy in the band ruined it... well you gotta try right?!?! So back to Rumford to play with my ole friends again.. this time in MONSTA!!! We had a blast!!!!

MODUS reformed for a few minutes, but I eventually wanted to concentrate more on my singing and settle down a bit.

I finally talked the lead player in MODUS to do a solo acoustic duo called Punting Baxter (that's us playing in the background). We got pretty good and things were good.. but our relationship deteriorated over time and with only two guys, it gets amplified..

So here I am playing solo and having a blast!!! We all have a past, but I'm only looking forward now..

I love singing something that gets people moving... or moved. And I hope to always improve... everything!!!

Thanks & see ya soon!!

Ralph

PS.. I'll keep adding details and expanding this bio.. as I remember more!!!
